One of the Most Attractive Gold Projects in the Americas

Soto Norte is a high-grade, low cost, long-life underground project located in the historic California – Vetas mining district of Colombia’s Santander Department. In September 2025, Aris Mining published results of its Prefeasibility Study (PFS) for Soto Norte, outlining a long-life underground gold mine with robust economics, low operating costs, and industry-leading environmental and social design features.

Environmental licensing studies are advancing, with submission of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), for regulatory review representing the next major milestone toward securing the permit required for construction.

Our Approach to Responsible Development

We’re focused on generating substantial long‑term value for shareholders, communities, and government partners, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, water protection, and environmental management.

Community Processing Capacity

Our processing plant provides 20% excess capacity (750 tpd) to facilitate local, small scale miner formalization.

Minimal Water Use and Surface Tailings Storage

Our recycling system allows 96.5% water reuse. Almost half of the produced tailings to be stored underground.

Local Employment

During peak construction, we will create about 2,300 jobs, with long-term operations sustaining about 675 direct employees.

No Cyanide or Mercury

Our processing facility will not use cyanide or mercury.

Community Engagement Model

Our structured engagement model empowers communities to identify priorities and propose initiatives.

Environmentally Sound Operations

Our use of a rope conveyor reduces truck traffic, dust, and spillage.

Water Protection and Improvement

Our operation is designed to protect local watercourses.

Filtered Tailings Facility

We use best-practice designs according to globally recognized standards.

Contract Mining Partners

Soto Norte has been designed to incorporate the same Contract Mining Partner (CMP) model that has been successfully implemented at Segovia, creating a formal and responsible pathway for local miners to participate in the project’s value chain. The planned processing facility will have a capacity of 3,500 tonnes per day, including 750 tonnes per day, or more than 20% of total capacity, dedicated to processing material purchased from local community miners. This dedicated capacity is intended to provide a safe and regulated alternative to traditional processing methods, eliminate the use of mercury, and ensure that tailings and water are managed in accordance with modern environmental standards. The model also supports local economic participation while creating shared value for surrounding communities and the project.
